Step 1: Facial cleansing – micellar cleanser
The first and perhaps most important step of sustainable skincare is regular facial cleansing, which should be done every morning and evening with a cleanser suited to your skin type. In the evening, cleansing removes makeup, environmental dirt, excess sebum, and all impurities from the skin’s surface and helps prevent blackheads and inflammation. It is also important in the morning because the skin regenerated overnight and releases sweat and sebum.

Step 2: Exfoliation
An exfoliator removes dead skin cells from the surface that make the complexion look dull. Fresh, clear skin can absorb subsequent skincare products better and keeps its natural glow. Exfoliation also stimulates the formation of new skin cells, which slows down with age. That is why it is an ideal anti-aging treatment in the fight against skin aging. Especially with oily, blemish-prone skin, dead skin flakes clog pores, making them look larger. Together with excess sebum they create an ideal breeding ground for bacteria that can cause inflammation and acne. Clogged pores usually cannot be cleared with cleanser alone, so an exfoliator or a deep-cleansing exfoliating mask is the ideal product here. Depending on the type of exfoliator and your skin’s condition, use is possible 1–7 times per week.

The Sensitive Resurfacing Peel is an essential, instant skin transformer. This peel combines 10% lactic acid, the highest level permitted under EU regulation, with the calming power of super seed extracts. It delivers younger-looking, fresher skin while minimizing irritation often associated with high-performance peels. Lactic acid is a powerful chemical exfoliant that hydrates the skin, improves firmness, and reduces fine lines as well as uneven skin tone. The potent acid is buffered by soothing lactobacillus ferment and horse chestnut seed extract, which have been shown to reduce skin redness. Chia seed extract strengthens the skin barrier and improves moisture retention. Dermatologically tested.
How to use:
Step 1: Apply a thin layer to cleansed skin. Use weekly. At first, leave on for only 3 minutes, then rinse off. Increase the processing time gradually each week up to a maximum of 15 minutes.
Step 2: Continue with your Super Seed routine.
Step 3: Protect your skin after using this product with sunscreen.
Sunburn alert: This product contains an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and especially the possibility of sunburn. Use sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards. Do not use on damaged skin. Always patch test before use. If irritation or rash occurs, stop use and seek medical advice. Protect the product from direct sunlight. For external use only. Avoid contact with textiles as this may cause discoloration. Products with natural essential oils may not be suitable during pregnancy. Protect your skin with SPF sunscreen.
Step 3: Mask – rich hydrating mask
A face mask is the dot over the “i”, the extra that gives the skin a care boost. Depending on the skin’s needs, it is used once or several times per week, for hydration, soothing redness or inflammation, or as a concentrated anti-aging mask. It should be applied after exfoliation, because the pores are then cleansed and nicely opened so the extra actives can be absorbed best.

Le Visage Masque Réparateur N°02 by RIVOLI is an ultra-rich multifunction mask that gives the skin new youthfulness by stimulating its natural regeneration mechanisms and provides a visible reduction of wrinkles. Well supplied and hydrated, the skin regains its firmness. A complex of oat amino acids, vitamin B3, and a cellular energy source that acts as a precursor of DNA repair limits the negative effects of photoaging and helps preserve cellular youth. Step 4: Toner – facial toner
A toner clarifies the skin after every cleanse. It should be formulated without denatured alcohol so it does not attack and dry out the skin barrier. It is used either as a spray or applied with a cotton pad. This application also removes any remaining residues of cleansing and exfoliating products from the skin surface. Sprays are usually more economical because they do not remain in the cotton pad and they can contain ingredients that act like serums.

Step 5: Serum – vitamin C serum
Serums are especially popular and useful. They are packed with concentrated active ingredients that can be used and combined depending on the skin’s needs. They support, fight, and visibly reduce targeted skin concerns such as premature aging, dryness, pigmentation spots, or blemishes, which can occur in all skin types. Hyaluronic acid, retinol, and vitamin C are probably the best-known and most popular ingredients for serums. Serums are applied before the cream.

Step 6: Cream - face cream
The final step of the daily routine, the protective and nourishing cream, also called a moisturizer.
It is formulated according to skin type: for oily skin with no fats and lots of moisture, or for dry skin, very rich with nourishing lipids in addition to hydration. It forms a protective film on the skin surface. There are 24-hour creams for day and night or two separate products, day and night cream. Day cream is usually lighter and contains more moisture, night cream is often richer because the skin’s regeneration mechanisms work at night and the skin absorbs more actives then. Some brands prefer it the other way around and skip night cream. What fits best is something everyone should find out for themselves.
Day creams can also be lightly tinted and or enriched with integrated SPF. Sunscreen should be used in summer and winter, depending on sun intensity at least SPF 20 to SPF 50. The sun is enemy number 1 for skin cancer development and it accelerates skin aging. Integrated SPF is practical and saves time and money.
